Fran Ramos, alto saxophone. Diego Hervalejo, piano. Camil Arcarazo, double bass. Enric Fuster, drums
The Valencian saxophonist Fran Ramos has established himself as one of the most personal emerging voices in contemporary jazz thanks to a career marked by versatility and collaboration with prominent artists on the national and international scene. He has shared the stage with musicians such as Carles Benavent, Perico Sambeat, Carlos Sarduy and Giulia Valle, and is the creator of the Mil Estones de Jazz festival.
On this occasion he presents Steppin’ Beyond, a personal project developed over more than four years that fuses modern jazz, folklore and roots rhythms with a fresh and nuanced sound. Influenced by references such as Keith Jarrett, John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter, the quartet builds its own language that connects tradition and contemporaneity.
